A motorist traveling northbound on Interstate I-5 reported seeing an unidentified flying object (UFO) near the Joint Base Lewis-McChord military base. The sighting occurred around 5:46 PM local time and lasted approximately 45 seconds.
According to the witness, the main object was a black triangle about 4.5 meters per side, stationary at an estimated altitude of 30 meters above the ground and located about 20 meters to the right of the road. The triangle had two lights: a green one on one corner and a red one on the opposite corner. It was accompanied by a second object, a luminous white sphere emitting an intense glow.
Initially, the witness assumed it was an airplane, but as they approached, they realized the two objects were separate and stationary. The triangle appeared to be pointing north, while its red and green lights were positioned at the end facing south.
This incident adds to a series of similar sightings recorded by the National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC), which has documented multiple reports of flying triangles in the region in recent years. No official explanation has been provided so far regarding the nature of these objects.
