A UFO sighting and the creatures seen by one man in the summer of 1945

Nearly 80 years after the historic Trinity nuclear test, Jose Padilla, now a resident of Los Angeles County, recounts an extraordinary experience from his childhood. In the summer of 1945, at just nine years old, Padilla was living in a rural part of New Mexico, only 13 miles from the site where the U.S. detonated the world’s first nuclear bomb as part of the Manhattan Project, led by J. Robert Oppenheimer.

In a recent interview with KCAL’s Chris Holstrom, Padilla described a strange event that took place shortly after the nuclear test. He vividly recalls witnessing an object unlike anything he had ever seen before. "That object — it is not from this world," he stated, fueling curiosity about what he may have encountered.

Padilla’s account has now caught the attention of the U.S. Department of Defense, which has expanded its investigations into unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) and extraterrestrial sightings. His story adds another layer of mystery to the already enigmatic history surrounding the Trinity test site, raising questions about potential unexplained phenomena linked to nuclear events.

As the investigation unfolds, Padilla’s testimony stands as a compelling reminder of the many untold stories surrounding one of the most pivotal moments in history.
