A resident of Yoshkar-Ola, in the Republic of Mari El, claimed to have observed an unidentified flying object (UFO) from the window of his apartment on the fourth floor. The sighting occurred around 10:15 PM local time and lasted approximately four minutes.
According to the witness, the object had a rectangular shape and emitted a white light. It was accompanied by a glowing ring revolving around it. The object, estimated to be about five meters in length, was moving at a speed of 30 to 40 km/h, heading east.
"I was watching a movie when I caught sight of a strange object out of the corner of my eye. It was moving westward. Intrigued, I approached the window for a better look. The object was luminous, with a bright ring rotating around it. I wanted to record the scene, but my phone had run out of battery. By the time I found another device, the object had disappeared behind a building," the witness explained.
Another intriguing aspect of this account concerns the reaction of animals. Shortly after the sighting, the witness’s cats reportedly exhibited unusual behavior: "They seemed to be in a trance and did not react to external stimuli. A few minutes later, they returned to their normal behavior."
No official explanation has been provided so far. Local authorities have not commented on the incident, and no similar sightings have been reported in the area. However, this event adds to a long list of UFO sightings reported worldwide.
