Controversial Claims by Richard Banduric Rekindle Debate on Extraterrestrial Technology

A resurfaced interview with Richard Banduric—CEO of Field Propulsion Technologies and former propulsion engineer for both NASA and Lockheed Martin—is drawing new attention due to his extraordinary claims about covert efforts by the U.S. government and private research groups to study and reverse-engineer advanced materials allegedly recovered from unidentified flying objects (UFOs).

Banduric alleges that some of these materials are far beyond current human technology. Most striking is his claim that “trillions of invisible extraterrestrial devices” are scattered across the planet. According to him, these devices are hundreds of years more advanced than anything humans have developed, and serve a hidden purpose: monitoring or even manipulating our species.

One example he gives is a "sliver of metal" he claims to have personally observed—an object that could allegedly reconfigure itself and “cloak” to blend into its surroundings. This ability alone, he says, convinced him of its non-human origin. He further asserts that these devices are self-destructing and impossible to replicate or fully study with today’s tools.

Despite the sensational nature of his statements, Banduric provides no concrete evidence. No physical samples, photos, or corroborating witnesses have been presented to support his allegations.

His claims have understandably been met with skepticism. While some in the UFO research community see them as further reason to push for government transparency on unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs), the scientific community remains largely dismissive, emphasizing the lack of verifiable data.

As the line between legitimate inquiry and conspiracy continues to blur in the public discourse, Banduric’s story raises more questions than answers. If such a vast network of extraterrestrial devices truly exists, the world may be left wondering: why so many—and why remain hidden?
