The lone observer, driving on AZ-260 towards Holbrook, reported seeing a triangular craft hovering amidst the smoke near the RX wildfire. Lights were visible on the object before the turnoff to the 260 Trailhead. The witness was struck by the absence of any discernible noise, ruling out traditional sources such as propellers, jet engines, or helicopter blades.
