On May 15, 2023, around 10:30 PM, an unusual sighting occurred in the skies of Lawton, Michigan. According to a testimony posted on the National UFO Reporting Center's (NUFORC) website, an unidentified flying object in the shape of a triangle, with three bright lights at each corner, was observed moving slowly before disappearing above the witnesses.
The witness states that the object emitted no sound, had no blinking lights, and moved at a very slow pace, leaving no visible trail behind. It appeared significantly brighter than the surrounding stars. As the object reached directly above the witnesses, it suddenly vanished. The duration of the sighting was estimated to be approximately three minutes. The body of the triangle appeared dark against the night sky.
Approximately five minutes after the disappearance of the initial object, the witnesses noticed three similarly sized lights to the east, aligned in a straight line. These lights were not connected to any known constellation and did not correspond to the position of the planet Venus, which was situated farther east and appeared brighter. An unsettling feeling came over the witnesses, prompting them to retreat indoors.
