As Americans celebrated the Fourth of July with fireworks and festivities, one resident of Melbourne, Arkansas, claims to have witnessed something far more extraordinary than pyrotechnics: a silent, black triangular craft hovering above his home late Friday night.
According to the witness, the event occurred at approximately 10:35 PM local time on July 4th. He was standing in his front yard, preparing to launch fireworks with his granddaughter, when he turned to look toward the house and saw a large, dark object in the sky.
“I turned around to check if my wife was coming outside, and that’s when I saw it,” he reported. “A black triangle-shaped craft, maybe 50 feet across, just hanging there in the air—about 300 feet above our house.”
The sighting lasted between one and a half to two minutes. The craft reportedly remained motionless, emitting no sound, with visible lights on its underside. Then, in a matter of seconds, it tilted slightly and vanished at an incredible speed.
“I got goosebumps instantly,” the man said. “I knew exactly what I was seeing, and I was upset my wife didn’t get to see it too.”
Similar reports of triangular-shaped flying objects have surfaced across the United States over the past few decades, often described as silent, low-flying, and accompanied by lights. While some speculate these sightings involve secretive military aircraft—such as the rumored “Aurora” project—others believe they may indicate something not of this world.
No additional witnesses have come forward, and local authorities have not issued any official statement regarding the sighting. The incident occurred in clear weather during a typically loud evening, making the silence of the craft all the more striking to the observer.
Was this a misidentified drone, an advanced aircraft under wraps, or something far more mysterious?
For now, the skies over Melbourne hold their secrets.
